Privacy at BeautyShelf

Last updated: October 19, 2026.

This notice describes how BeautyShelf uses information when you visit the site or contact us.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure visits and retailer clicks and improve the site. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed, search terms, interactions, browser and device details, approximate location and cookie identifiers. Retailer-click events include the product, retailer and link placement. Read how Google collects and processes this information.

Analytics is on by default. Use Analytics choices in the footer to turn it off. Closing the panel keeps the current setting. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 90 days; if it expires, is deleted or cannot be saved, Analytics defaults on again. Turning it off stops our Analytics tag and clears accessible first-party Analytics cookies, but does not delete previously collected data.

Analytics cookies expire after 90 days, which later activity can renew. Our Analytics data-retention settings are two months for event data and fourteen months for user data; new activity can reset user retention. These limits do not cover most aggregated reports. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

Other services

DigitalOcean hosts the site and images and receives technical requests, including IP addresses and requested files, to deliver and secure them. Searches are sent to BeautyShelf to return results. If you email us, Google processes your email address, message and attachments through our email service so we can respond and retain the correspondence.

Embedded YouTube videos use its privacy-enhanced player. Loading a page with a video connects to YouTube; playing it may involve cookies and viewing data. This is separate from your Analytics choice. See Google’s privacy policy.

Retailer links

Retailer links take you to other websites, where their privacy policies apply. Retailers handle purchases, payment details and orders. We will update this notice with the relevant networks and tracking practices before enabling affiliate links.
